They are dedicated to the supply of reliable, competitively priced products designed with the customers’ needs in mind.
To improve product quality, reduce rework and protect their brand reputation the Ideal Boilers site in Hull were looking for new assembly tooling that was accurate, durable and would seamlessly integrate with their existing systems.
Our first step was to address common faults like scratched alloy wheels and door misalignment using tooling and programming solutions to prevent damage to product quality and the need for rework.
We proposed a combination of manual torque wrenches and DC assembly tools from Sturtevant Richmont and Mountz. Chosen because of the low target torques involved in manufacture and the need for accuracy as well as durability. Along with the tools we also supplied the tooling controllers for data collection and programming.
Our end-to-end approach didn’t stop at tooling supply we worked with the customer to integrate the tooling and controllers onto the line as well as programming ready for launch and training staff on using the tools and best practices.
Abbey’s personalised approach offered knowledge and advice on the best solution suited to our customers individual needs and our ability to supply the total solution meant the integration was a success.
Abbey Industrial Solutions have been a key partner to both sites for over seven years. During this time, our expert team have become an essential part of the supply chain and production process for both companies, helping to keep downtime to a minimum and output to a maximum.
