Reducing costs and improving safety through a fully integrated tooling service plan

With a global presence, Progress Rail, are one of the largest integrated providers to the rail industry.

With multiple sites across the UK, the team at Progress Rail have been working closely with Abbey Industrial Solutions for a number of years to deliver a comprehensive service plan for their tooling equipment.

Abbey implemented an on-site service plan which included taking full responsibility for all asset management including servicing, calibration and repair of any tools.

Progress Rail have now increased tool safety and reduced liability but have also benefited from financial savings through the increased efficiencies Abbey  Implemented. Alongside this, a comprehensive HAV’s testing and advisory scheme was also introduced by our team of technical engineers to reduce risk and improve best practice.
